Artist Market

Mark your calendars for August 3-5th! This year, Erie’s Blues & Jazz Festival will host its first artist market. Our goal is not only to keep outstanding blues and jazz music at the core of Erie’s Blues & Jazz Festival but to also showcase the region’s talent in a variety of other art forms. We want to expand the festival to highlight some of the local artistic talent in Erie.

To apply for a booth at the Artists Market, artists must submit no more than five samples of their work. In order for your booth to be included in the festival, you must agree to the terms and conditions of the festival. Artists who apply to be a part of the market will be juried by the Festival's Artistic Committee.

Fee: There is no fee to apply to the festival. If selected, artists will be charged a participation fee of $100. This fee will be waived if selected to demonstrate or present workshops at the festival.**

Festival Dates: Friday, August 3rd-Sunday, August 5th, 2018

Festival Market Hours: Friday: 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. (followed by film screening), Saturday & Sunday: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. (followed by main stage and dance performances). It gets dark at about 8:30 p.m.

Set-Up/Tear-down: Vendors can begin setting up on Friday, August 3rd after 12:00pm.

Vendors should be torn-down by 8 p.m. every night. We will provide minimal overnight security in our artist market; be prepared to take anything you don’t feel comfortable leaving with you at the end of each night.

**Demonstration/Workshop Proposal: If you wish to present a demonstration or a workshop, please email a one page proposal that includes your goals & objectives, a summary of your workshop, the age appropriateness of the workshop (i.e. will kids and families be able to keep up?), and the materials you’ll be using to producer@erieartsandculture.org

We want this to be a learning experience for our festival goers, so your workshop should teach others about your craft, as well as invite others to get involved. You can choose to give a demo of your work at your marketplace station or present a lesson during the festival at the park’s amphitheater. No more than five artists will be selected for workshop presentations.
