How Much Are Tickets to Erie's Blues & Jazz Festival?

They're free! No ticket required. We work year-round with corporate sponsors and donors to make sure we can keep our Festival free and open to the public. In the upcoming months, we will launch a Kickstarter campaign that will allow you to have more of a "VIP" experience, if you're interested in paying for/donating to the Festival.

Where is The Festival?

The Festival is held at Frontier Park, in Erie, PA. The Mainstage and musical performances will be held on the Southeastern side of the park (trust us, you won't miss it). We also use the ampitheater, LEAF building, and Northwestern side of the park for Artist workshops, food trucks, and kid's activities. In the future, you'll be able to find a map of Frontier Park here.

Where Should I Stay That Weekend?

If you're from out of town, welcome!! There are plenty of fantastic places to stay in Erie. Our friends at Lake Erie Cyclefest have created a handy list of hotels to stay at the weekend of the Festival:

Can I Sell My Art At The Festival?

We are offering a few spots for artists to sell their work in our market! For more information, check out our Artist Market page.

Will There Be Food?

Oh, will there. We always have food vendors located near the Mainstage, and this year we will have food trucks on the northwest end of the park, lining Cherokee Drive. Check back in late May for a full list of participating food vendors! Do you want to be a food vendor at our Festival? Find the application here.

You're also welcome to bring your own food to the festival!

Should I Bring My Kids?

Yes! We believe Blues & Jazz should be celebrated by groups of all ages. We offer children activities in our Cool Cats tent, and we try to make sure this event is as family friendly as possible.

Should I Bring My Dog?

No! We love dogs, but for this weekend, we don't allow dogs in Frontier Park. There's a lot of commotion in the park, and your dog might not be used to that kind of noise/crowd. We don't want to stress out your furry friend, and we don't want our volunteers to worry about cleaning up dog waste. Thanks for asking!

Is There A Schedule of Events?

There will be closer to the festival. This is a three day festival (August 3-5), with the music acts performing on Saturday and Sunday. When all acts are confirmed, we will have a schedule available online and in print.

Can I Bring A Tent?

Of course, and while you're at it, bring a chair! Spaces for tents are limited, and you may not set tents up until 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Wait a Minute-- Wasn't This Produced by The Erie Art Museum?

Yes, it was; thanks for asking! This is the first year Erie's Blues & Jazz Festival will be produced outside of The Erie Art Museum's realm. While a few things are changing, some key factors stay the same. Despite his retirement from the Erie Art Museum, John Vanco has agreed to stay on this year as the Artistic Director, so we can ensure the same calliber of musicians you've come to expect from this Festival. We hope that Erie Arts & Culture can provide you with the same great Blues & Jazz the Festival is known for, while expanding the Festival to include more local artists.

The mission of Erie Arts & Culture is to strengthen the vibrancy and vitality of the Erie Region and enrich the lives of our people through the advancement of arts and culture.
