For the past two years, Patrick Fisher has been the Community and Collaboration Manager of the Cultural Council of Jacksonville Florida. In April of this year he was named one of the "40 Under 40" by the Jacksonville Business Journal.

"I am extremely humbled that I have the opportunity to return to Erie, the city where I was born, and to bring with me the insights, skills, and experience that I have accumulated while away - all with the purpose of assisting in the efforts of making Northwestern Pennsylvania a great place for our residents to live and our tourists to visit," Fisher said. "I am eager to join the team at Erie Arts and Culture and lead the way in ensuring broad accessibility and public engagement with the arts culturally, socially, educationally, and economically."

Fisher received his Bachelor of Business Management degree from Penn State at the Behrend campus. His role in Jacksonville was to raise the visibility and credibility of the Cultural Council while working to support those in the arts and cultural sector.

"We were fortunate to have a strong lineup of candidates," Jim Dible, chair of the Erie Arts & Culture board of directors, said in a statement. "What tipped the scales for Patrick was his reputation for looking at the big picture in a leadership role in a larger market. Also, my counterpart in Jacksonville said Patrick guided their board through a process leading to a three-year strategic plan."

Fisher will begin his duties on Wednesday, Sept. 19. He succeeds Amanda Brown Sissem, who was executive director since Erie Arts & Culture was formed six years ago. Sissem is now the Director of Alumni Advancement at Edinboro University.
