National Water Dance Erie: The Ripple Effect

The National Water Dance Erie: The Ripple Effect is a free, live-streamed, public performance that takes place on Saturday, April 14 @ 4 pm, 2018 across the nation at local waterways. Funded by Erie Arts and Culture, Mercyhurst University, Sustainability Program, the Erie event is hosted by the Mercyhurst Dance, and Chemistry Departments, Arts on the Hill, in collaboration with many departments, organizations, local artists, environmental groups within the community. These scientists, artists, environmentalists, and educators, come together to celebrate and exchange ideas about local to global water concerns through the art-making and performance process. The Erie event begins at 4 pm sharp on *Dobbins Landing and follows a performance pathway along the waterfront, through the Erie Maritime Museum, and culminates in a program that interweaves current water research, dance, film, music, art throughout. If inclement weather occurs the entire event will take place in the Erie Maritime Museum, lobby and adjacent Hirt Auditorium.
