Erie Arts & Culture Launches Two Programs to Support Local Creative Entrepreneurs and Non-profits

Wednesday Nov 24th, 2021

Erie Arts & Culture announced the availability of two new grant programs developed to support both creatives and non-profit organizations across the commonwealth-- The Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program and Entry to Program Stream.

The Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program matches eligible creative entrepreneurs with existing, free, local, small business consulting services and financial resources ranging from $500 to $2,000 to help them grow their businesses, audiences, and revenue.

Entry to Program Stream offers a new pathway for small arts organizations and programs to receive ongoing, unrestricted funding. The grant provides general operating support, which helps organizations strengthen their core capacity, engage in critical planning activities, and pay expenses related to staffing, business functions, and programming.

Meet our new Rostered Teaching Artists

Tuesday Nov 2nd, 2021

Erie Arts & Culture recently welcomed four new rostered teaching artists through an annual application, review, and training process. These creatives have all demonstrated passion and knowledge around their respective artforms and a desire to share those talents with all ages by leading teaching artist residencies throughout the six-county service region.

We asked each individual what it means to be a rostered teaching artist - why they choose to pursue this opportunity, what their background and experience is, and what they are most excited about as they start working with students and community members of all ages. Their insights are as engaging and varied as the art forms they represent.

Erie Arts & Culture Appreciation Awards

Tuesday Nov 2nd, 2021

Congratulations to the Appreciation Awards Recipients!

November is when Erie Arts & Culture annually hosts Fall for Arts & Culture, an event through which we recognize and celebrate community members for their support and contribution to the creative and cultural sector. Fall for Arts & Culture was cancelled this year due to ongoing precaution related to the pandemic. However, this year’s community award recipients will be celebrated at the Western Pennsylvania Maker Market, with the awards ceremony beginning at 2:00 PM.

For more than three decades, the Arts and Culture Appreciation Awards have recognized and honored those individuals, businesses, and organizations who use arts-based disciplines or deliver cultural programming to positively impact the Erie community.
