Nat assists EAC's marketing efforts with creative storytelling and sector wide event promotion. In 2022 Nat started interviewing artists as part of EAC's Friday Features series. In 2022, Nat Richmond published a total of 31 Friday Features! The Friday Features highlight artists from our region in an interview format.
Nat is a musician, world-traveler, writer, and lover of art.
Below Nat summarizes what she learned in the process.
"During the course of my first year with Erie Arts & Culture, I had the pleasure of being able to interview some of Erie's most impactful, inspirational, genuine, and authentic creators from various specialties, industries, and disciplines. Our conversations led to many eye-opening insights that allowed me to realize just how interwoven the Art of creation truly is amongst all artists. Whether you are a performer, musician, photographer, illustrator or fashion curator, it takes honest self-awareness to understand how to express your inner self to the external world. The artists that I've interviewed take great pride in their work, dedicate long hours to the development of their craft, and find joy in just the mental stimulation that comes from discovery. They've all inspired me, in their own unique journeys, how to become a better artist myself. Learning their processes for finding challenges and taking the initiative to step outside of the box, I can say that I feel encouraged to follow in their footsteps and never take my foot off of the gas. I applaud each and every artist for their contributions to the creative and cultural experiences of Erie, Pennsylvania. "
