Dan Arndt is a novelist and current member of Pennwriters Area 1. He is a lifelong resident of Erie, Pennsylvania. His first novel, Angels & Bullies of St. Aelred High, was published in 2013 through CreateSpace Independent Publishing. He is presently working on multiple projects in the St. Aelred High Series.
As a member of Pennwriters Area 1, Dan attends a weekly writer's group called the Fellowship of the Quill. It is during these meetings that he gets completed WIPs critiqued as well as provide critiques for other author's WIPs. He is also the NaNoWriMo coordinator for Area 1 where he helps bring together members and non-members for weekly writing sessions during the NaNoWriMo month of November.
Dan has a unique background. He is a current mold design engineer for a local tool and die company. In 2003, Dan went back to school to pursue a degree in English Education. He obtained that degree along with a full honors diploma in 2007. Dan continued his education by earning a Masters Degree in Reading Specialization (2010), a Post Masters Degree in School Administration (2013), and half of a Masters Degree in Special Education. Dan has worked in a few schools as a English/language arts teacher before returning to his previous career in mold design engineering. He has been working toward returning to education when the right position and time presents itself. Outside of working as an engineer, Dan tutors a number of students in Northwestern Pennsylvania.
