Printmaking
Sarah teaches single color and reductive relief printmaking to students in elementary and high school as well as adult residency classes. Additionally, Sarah teaches college level printmaking classes which include lessons in intaglio, relief, monotype and collagraph printing techniques.
Mixed Media Art
Using a variety of artist markers and pens, acrylic paint, watercolor and colored pencils students create imagined designs as well as geometrically based mandala drawings.
Fabric Design
This is always a messy class with vibrantly colored results. Techniques taught include Shibori folding, ice dying and marbling.
Sarah is an artist and teacher residing in Erie, PA. She earned her MFA in Printmaking from Edinboro University in 2011, with a thesis consisting of nature themed reductive relief prints. She teaches elementary and middle school students, as well as college level Printmaking courses and occasional residencies for adult learners.
As an environmentalist and gardener, Sarah is drawn to natural imagery in her own work. She enjoys the process of carving and printing relief blocks as well as designing intricate artwork on gourds and mixed media mandala drawings full of color and patterns.
