NAMI of Erie | Weekly Art Support Group

Join us Wednesday and Thursday evenings for our Art Support Group! Free, open to all, and no registration required! Find the Zoom link on our website at Nami erie.org. Hope to see you there! The Art Therapy Support Group opens with a prompt provided by the facilitator. This prompt involves some sort of artistic expression and can be written, drawn, or otherwise created. Prompts have suggested methods, but participants are free to choose whatever form of artistic expression they desire so as to not inhibit creativity. Participants are given a period of time to work on their prompt and then given a set amount of time to discuss what they created and why they created it. Times allotted are adjust based on attendance to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate and receive feedback. The Art Support Group has the following goals and objectives: Improve moods and mental wellness through creative expression and discussion Provide a sense of community and camaraderie Increase self-esteem and self-confidence These sessions will explore stress management, self-care, navigating through life, breaking through chaos, becoming the change, accepting change, creating space and healthy boundaries, new habits, through mind and body, loving you for you, body imagine, setting goals and making lists. The support group for Art Therapy meets every Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. via zoom. No registration is required.
