TITUS ANDRONICUS

TITUS ANDRONICUS

Gannon University's Schuster Theatre and Shakespeare Summer Nights presents this new adaptation written and directed by Gannon alumna, Jenna Sulecki (GU '16) and featuring returning SSN cast members as well as local actors new to our stage! Regarded as one of Shakespeare's earliest and bloodiest work, the tragedy of TITUS ANDRONICUS is reimagined in a future fraught with economic devastation and war. Titus, returning triumphantly with his prisoners of war, including the cunning and ruthless Tamora, Queen of the Goths, finds the world of politics to be as ruthless as the battlefield and the price of violence to be too high. This ticketed production ($5, however you can use the code TITUS to get your tickets free of cost) will be presented outdoors in the courtyard of the GU Morosky Academic Center at Sassafrass and 9th street as well as live-streamed on our social media, free of cost, July 19th on our Schuster Theatre Facebook page. In-person audience will be asked to follow all CDC and Gannon COVID guidlines which suggests that non-vaccinated audience members wear masks. Seating is outside however, seating is not distanced. This production is not recommended for children due to the violence and adult content and gore; viewer discretion advised. Tickets to watch the performance are on sale at schustertheatre.com and due to limited seats, we recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time. If the production is canceled for any reason including weather, no tickets will be refunded or automatically moved to another day.
