Sorrow/Fullness: A Reflection on Mourning sponsored by Edinboro University - Erie Art Museum
Edinboro University ART100 will sponsor "Sorrow/Fullness: A Reflection on Mourning" in the Nicholas Gallery at the Erie Art Museum, Oct. 15 - Dec.22, 2021. The exhibition, which features the work of Suzanne Amendolara (Professor of Metals at Edinboro University), Adrienne Gratfon (Edinboro University graduate) and Renee Zettle-Sterling (Graduate of Edinboro University and Professor at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, is an expression of grief through artmaking.
This exhibition will give the viewer a look into tangible results from transformative experiences and profound explorations regarding significant loss. The work offers a wide range of materials and perspectives on the topic of mourning and is a look at how three trained metalsmiths, working in sculpture, jewelry and wearable art, have dealt with and processed grief.
