Artist Biography
I am a multidisciplinary artist, author, muralist, spoken word poet, and behavioral counselor whose work lives at the intersection of healing, truth, and liberation. Rooted in lived experience, I use art as both testimony and tool—giving voice to stories often silenced by trauma, systemic harm, and generational pain. Through murals, poetry, and performance, I transform public and personal spaces into sites of reflection and restoration. My words confront childhood wounds, Black history, identity, love, and resilience with unflinching honesty and deep compassion. Whether on a stage, a wall, or a page, my work invites audiences to sit with discomfort, honor survival, and imagine wholeness.
As a behavioral counselor and community advocate, my artistry is inseparable from my purpose. I create not just to be seen, but to serve—uplifting youth, fostering dialogue, and building bridges between expression and emotional healing. My work reminds us all that art can be a mirror, a balm, and a call to action—all at once.
Artist Statement, Mural Making Process, and Art Style(s)
As a Muralist Assistant and My mural-making process begins with listening. I engage with the community, the site, and the emotional weight of the space before putting paint to wall. From there, I develop concepts through writing, sketching, and symbolic research, allowing spoken word, movement, and memory to inform the imagery. Each mural is built in layers—much like healing itself—combining portraiture, text, abstraction, and culturally rooted symbols.
Stylistically, my work blends realism with expressive and narrative elements. I use bold color, intentional line work, and symbolic contrast to create pieces that feel both grounded and alive. My murals are designed to invite reflection, spark dialogue, and offer a sense of belonging. Ultimately, I see mural work as public care—art that transforms walls into mirrors, sanctuaries, and calls to action.
