Barber National Institute Art Show Submission Dates

Adult and youth artists are invited to submit their artwork for the Jay & Mona Kang Virtual Art Show & Sale sponsored online by the Barber National Institute. All safety protocols as recommended by the CDC will be in place. To facilitate a “no contact” submission process, artists are encouraged to complete their entry forms in advance online at https://www.barberinstitute.org/events/art-show. Because the show will be virtual again in 2021, all artwork submitted must be listed for sale with a purchase price included. Forms of artwork accepted include paintings, drawings, fabric, sculptures and photography. Each artist can submit up to two pieces of work, although only one may be selected for the show depending on the volume of submissions. Youth artists (up to age 18 or high school students) can submit their work free of charge. Adult artists will be charged a $20 fee per piece of artwork. New this year is the option for the artist to submit their own photos of their work as well as a statement about their artwork and creative process. A panel of judges from the community will select artwork for monetary awards that will be awarded in adult and youth artist categories, with separate awards for photography. The Art Show will be held online from Monday, April 12 through Thursday, April 22, with an online preview for donors and participating artists from April 8 – 11.
