Santa Lucia Festival of Light - Luther Memorial Church

Santa Lucia Festival of Light - Luther Memorial Church

SVEA Lodge #296 and Luther Memorial Church cordially invite you to our annual Santa Lucia Festival of Light.

According to Scandinavian legend, Lucia was a medieval saint who carried food and drink to hungry folk in the province of Värmland during a period of famine. Many legends exist, but in each one Lucia stands for the symbol of light and hope to all mankind. Please join us for this beautiful program as we celebrate Santa Lucia’s coming with feasting, merriment, singing, and a spirit of joy that will last all through the holidays.

Following the program, we invite you to enjoy coffee and Swedish refreshments.

The Nordic Nook will be available for Scandinavian houseware and clothing items and bakery items from Eckloff’s Bakery, Jamestown, will be available for purchase.

Our program is free and open to the public.

For more information contact the church office at 814.454.0106 or www.luthermemorialonline.org. You can also learn more about our organization by visiting our Facebook page – SVEA Lodge 296. GÖD JUL!
