Sharon PRO Network1

Join us for a PRO Network webinar on August 12 at 6 PM on Facebook live and zoom with Sharon Louden.

Sharon Louden is an artist, educator, editor, and the Artistic Director of the Visual Arts at Chautauqua Institution. She is also a strong advocate for artists, having launched a series of books in 2013 entitled Living and Sustaining a Creative Life, each a collection of essays by 40 working artists written in a straight-forward style about how they continue to sustain their creative lives. That project launched two supporting conversation book tours across the United States and abroad reaching hundreds of communities and thousands of artists sharing their needs and wants. Louden has disseminated the data and information culled from those tours through countless workshops, webinars, and strategy sessions with foundations, academic institutions, and arts organizations. Sharon's mission is to share information with artists of all disciplines and crafts toward sustaining their creative lives.

This workshop will dive into the details that every artist can focus on to help them sustain their creative practices into the future. Topics will include:

  • Goal Setting
  • Identifying and researching your audience
  • Building an amazing database
  • How to approach members of your community with whom you wish to dialogue
  • Creating your own opportunities
  • Community Building
