Pennsylvania Art Education Association (PAEA) has announced that Erie Arts and Culture (EAC) is being honored as the 2023 Pennsylvania Art Education Association Outstanding Friend to Art Education Award. PAEA, through a rigorous review process, has identified EAC as an outstanding leader in the field of art education because its creative contributions, excellence in professional engagement, and dedication to service are meritorious and deserve PAEA’s recognition.

Two vendor booths at Celebrate Erie will offer a variety of African craft.

Two presentations will grace the Family Stage of Celebrate Erie on Sunday, August 20. These folk artists represent the rich cultures of the MIddle East and Sudan.

Two presentations will grace the Family Stage of Celebrate Erie on Saturday, August 19. Both are led by former refugees from Africa who now are U.S. citizens. Both artists have been recognized by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts as master traditional artists.
